1.'Same road'
The Cuban National Assembly meets on Sunday to elect a successor to Fidel Castro.

We asked Cubans at the Havana Book Fair about what they think the most important task should be for the country's next leader.

Marilyn

"We need to work at doing the same, follow the same road as we have been doing for the last 50 year."

2.'Save our culture'

Adonis

"We need to save our culture.

"We need a government that keeps allowing us book fairs like this one."

3.'Defend rights'

Olga

"They must listen to what the people are saying. That's how we'll preserve the revolution.

"But the rights of the people must be defended."

4.'Keep the revolution'

Lisandra and Ernesto

"We must keep things as they are and keep the revolution."

5.'Same rhythm'

Maritza

"We must keep the same rhythm with the revolution that has already given so much to the people."

6.'Joint responsibility'

Angelina

"We must keep following the road that Cuban people have chosen to take. It's our joint responsibility to defend the revolution.

"I am enthusiastic for the future but at the same time a lot has to be changed."

7.'Work hard'

Jorge

"I consider myself to be a part of this process.

"We have to fight to fight against the enemy, our neighbour [the USA]. But at the same time we have to overcome many things like the bad work ethic and our domestic economic problems.

"We have to work hard to make things better."

8.'Reduce prices'

Cindia

"We need to bring down prices, increase salaries and improve service."

"The main problem is education.

"There are so few teachers in our schools and so our students don't learn well."

11. 'New teachers'

"Education is in a bad way. The new government should train new teachers and teach the ones they already have to improve things. The current situation is a mess."

12.Currency reform

Anonymous

"We must do away with the dual currency system. This would solve our economic problems.

"The Cuban parliament should understand that Cuba's problem is economic not political."
